David Cope è un professore universitario e un compositore.

Il suo lavoro ha preso una piega molto strana dopo aver sperimentato un blocco creativo. Ha iniziato a prendere in considerazione la composizione algoritmica, e ha iniziato a scrivere diversi programmi (in Lisp) che fossero addirittura in grado di resuscitare i grandi compositori del passato.

Mediante un processo di analisi, ricerca delle similitudini e sintesi delle consonanze è riuscito a creare diverse composizioni, fra le quali addirittura 5000 cantate di Bach

Beethoven, Mozart, Bach, Mahler, Scarlatti ed altri sono presenti sul suo canale Youtube
