Charles Dana Gibson Girl
Charles Dana Gibson (1867 - 1944) è stato un artista americano famoso soprattutto per la creazione della Gibson Girl, la sintesi estetica dell'immagine della donna per il ventennio a cavallo del XIX e XX secolo. Questa immagine ideale e idealizzata, ultima testimone dei costumi del secolo precedente, scomparve definitivamente all'inizio della prima guerra mondiale.
