Natron è un programma open source e cross platform (OSX, linux e windows) di compositing, un' aspetto oramai indispensabile di moltissimi video e di praticamente qualsiasi film e telefilm.

Tra le caratteristiche del programma: gestione dei colori con OpenColorIO, gestione dei formati con OpenImageIO, supporto per gli effetti grazie ai plugin OpenFX, dotato di interfaccia CLI, veloce, multi-tasking, interfaccia intuitiva.
