In seguito ai risultati conseguiti con AlphaFold, ha lanciato un nuovo progetto: AlphaProteo.

Deepmind, grazie alla conoscenza sviluppata dagli strumenti LLM per analizzare la struttura delle proteine, ora con il progetto AlphaProteo è in grado di a progettarne da 3 a 300 volte più efficaci nel riuscire ad agganciare specifici target molecolari, e quindi, potenzialmente, intervenire in modo "nanochirurgico" su virus e altre malattie. Si tratta di una delle tecnologie più promettenti in assoluto in questo momento.
