Wolfram Alpha e' un motore di ricerca computazionale che, a differenza di google, elabora le informazioni richieste attingendo ad una base di conoscenza che non contiene dati estratti principalmente da siti web.

Inserendo la formula di una molecola, ad esempio "C9H8O4" (dal database chimico pubchem) vengono mostrati tutti i monomeri, tra i quali c'e' l'aspirina. Si possono ottenere dati e comparazioni tra elementi chimici, citta', stati, equazioni, valori monetari, figure geometriche, nomi, date e molto, molto altro.
