Oliver Harper ci guida in una bella retrospettiva di Excalibur, scintillante pellicola diretta da John Boorman nel 1981 subito dopo la realizzazione del seguito dell'"Esorcista". I primi anni '80 videro la realizzazione di vari film di genere Fantasy, ma "Excalibur" è molto considerato per il suo stile unico ancora oggi ed è forse la migliore trasposizione cinematografica della Leggenda di Re Artù.
