I Svezia, da oltre un secolo, viene pubblicato ogni natale "Bland Tomtar och Troll" ("Fra gnomi e troll"), una collana di racconti e fiabe del folklore scandinavo.

Ideata nel 1907 dall’editore Erik Åkerlund raccoglie i migliori artisti svedesi. Il primo fu John Bauer (1882-1918), seguito da Aina Masolle (1885-1975), Gustav Tenggren (1896-1970), Einar Norelius (1900-1985) e Hans Arnold (1925-2010).
